University Health Physicians, the academic physician group practice for the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine (UMKC), is seeking a full time academic clinical Chief of Cardiology to lead in patient care and teaching. The UMKC School of Medicine is a leader in innovative medical education. The Truman Medical Center Department of Medicine is dedicated to eliminating disparities in health outcomes. The Truman Medical Center Cardiology Division is continuing an exciting expansion of its clinical services. The next leader of that division should have the experience, vision and skills to further those missions. Optional opportunities exist to collaborate with leaders in epidemiological studies, clinical trials, and outcomes research at UMKC but this Chief position will primarily be a clinical and administrative role. The cardiology division does not do advanced procedures such as TAVR, LVAD or transplant. There is not a cardiovascular/thoracic surgeon on site. Prefer a candidate with 10 years of experience in a leadership capacity and wanting to focus on general clinical cardiology. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
