HEADLINE: Long Island, New York (one-hour plus drive to Manhattan): 100% CC/Intensivist opportunity. BE/BC Critical Care/Intensivist physician is being recruited by a successful and well respected private practice single-specialty group. They have seven Pulmonologists/Critical Care physicians. The new CC/Intensivist physician will work at only one medical center that has an ICU/CCU with 24 ICU beds. However, the new Critical Care physician will only work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. Shift Schedule: 7 on and 7 off. The hours range from a minimum of 9 hours per day to a maximum of 12 hours per day. There are no night shifts. There is no call. Financial compensation: $ 300,000 base salary, productivity incentive ranging from $10,000 to $40,000, and a fringe benefits package.

PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITY:

  • This is a 100% Critical Care/Intensivist opportunity.
  • A Board Eligible/Board Certified Critical Care/Intensivist physician is needed to join a well respected, very busy and successful single-specialty private practice group. They currently have seven Board Certified Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians. Five do both Pulmonary and Critical Care, one who only does Critical Care, and one who only does Pulmonary Medicine.
  • Hospital/Medical Center: The new Critical Care/Intensivist physician will work at only one hospital/medical center. It is a general medical and surgical hospital. Their Intensive Care Unit has 24 ICU beds. The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) has 14 beds. The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) has 10 beds. However, the new Critical Care physician will only work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit.
  • The new CC physician will average taking care of between 14 to 20 patients per day.
  • There are also consults.
  • Shift Schedule: 7 on and 7 off. The hours range from no less than 9 hours per day and no more than 12 hours per day.
  • There are no night shifts.
  • There is no call.
  • The new CC physician will begin the work day at 8:00 a.m. and end when the work is done. It will depend upon if the patient requires a consultation.
  • She/he will have the assistance and support provided by an experienced Critical Care Mid-Level Provider/Practitioner (MLP). They provide 24/7 coverage.
  • You will have the opportunity to closely work with Internal Medicine residents who rotate through the ICU seven days per week. You will round with them on a daily basis.
  • This excellent Critical Care opportunity is due to the growth and expansion of their practice, patient base and service area.

FINANCIAL COMPENSATION AND FUTURE EARNINGS:

  • The new Critical Care/Intensivist physician will be employed by this 15-year old established single-specialty private practice group.
  • This successful and busy practice is offering:
  • Base salary of $300,000.
  • There will also be a productivity incentive bonus. It ranges from $10,000 to $40,000 additional income.
  • The practice will provide a fringe benefits package which includes, but is not limited to: Malpractice Insurance, Health Insurance for the physician and family, 401K Retirement plan and probably more.
