OB/GYN Physician

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University -  Langone Medical Center seeks a full-time academic general obstetrician-gynecologist. Join a team oriented, mission driven group of faculty members dedicated to clinical teaching and caring for the underserved.  

Clinical work will take place at Bellevue Hospital, the country’s first public hospital, and at New York Health and Hospitals Corporation's Gouverneur Clinic, the largest freestanding ambulatory care center in the city. The candidate must be committed to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity. 

Qualifications: 

• Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program in obstetrics and gynecology 
• Completion of a Family Planning Fellowship 
• Certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology 
• Eligible to obtain a New York medical license or already be licensed in New York State 

Clinical responsibilities include:

• Three half-day sessions per week covering ambulatory gynecology with a focus on family planning and contraception at the Gouverneur clinic. 
• Six half-day sessions per week precepting resident clinic and family planning clinic, moderate sedation unit, and OR. Benign gyn OR precepting a possibility for interested candidates. 
• Coverage of Bellevue labor and delivery, approximately 2-3 calls per month.
