Description

The Division of General Medicine, Geriatrics and Hospital Medicine is recruiting a clinical educator to provide primary care at one of our off-campus clinical sites and precept Internal Medicine residents and/or medical students during their ambulatory medical rotations.  The Division is the largest in the Department of Internal Medicine and includes physicians working across the full spectrum of care.  Two current office locations have achieved PCMH Level 3 recognition from NCQA.  This practice opening is located in beautiful Suffolk County, Long Island, NY.   Stony Brook University has established itself as one of America’s most dynamic public universities, a center of academic excellence in health education, patient care and research.  With 603 beds, Stony Brook Hospital is the region’s only tertiary care center and Regional Trauma Center.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:  MD or equivalent, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.   Must have New York State Medical License or be eligible to receive one.

Preferred Qualifications:  General Medicine or Geriatric Medicine Fellowship or clinical outpatient experience
