SSM Medical Group in St. Louis seeks to employ a BC/BE Rheumatologist. The practice is primarily outpatient, with some inpatient consultations.

Monday-Friday schedule with light call responsibilities.

With 527 licensed beds, St. Mary's Hospital is a major teaching facility affiliated with Saint Louis University School of Medicine. St. Mary's offers a wide range of services including heart and vascular care, a cancer center, endoscopy, orthopedics, pain management, a wound center, imaging and outpatient services.

St. Mary's is located in Richmond Heights - a lovely, trendy, first-ring suburb of St. Louis. The St. Louis metro area has over 2.8 million residents, a rich history and wonderful attractions. The area has outstanding public and private schools, and 3 major Universities.
Qualifications
  • M.D. or D.O.
  • Completion of an accredited Rheumatology Fellowship Program
  • BC/BE in Rheumatology (must become Board Certified within 2 years)
  • Experience and proficiency in treating patients with lupus and arthritis, and ultrasound guided joint injections
  • Knowledge of new Biologics
  • Willingness to participate in the oversight of the infusion
  • Missouri Medical License
  • DEA certificate
  • ACLS certification
  • In addition to clinical skills, the candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism with an emphasis on integrity, a commitment to excellence, and ethical principles of clinical care. Also required are an ability to exercise confidentiality of patient information, informed consent, demonstration of respect, and regard for patient needs. All SSM physicians are expected to adhere to the basic SSM Health values of Excellence, Integrity, Teamwork, Service, and Initiative.

    Computer literacy, including MS Excel and electronic communication skills are required. Physicians must be comfortable and proficient with EPIC electronic health record system, utilizing electronic tools such as email, mychart, PACS, LMS, etc. Timely completion of medical records is a requirement. Some weekends and extended hours may be required.
