Northwest Arkansas residents consistently rank Washington Regional as the hospital of choice for overall quality, highly trained doctors and nurses, and care in a variety of specialty areas including stroke care, senior health, cardiology, orthopedics and women’s services.

Washington Regional was recognized for organizational excellence in 2018 as the recipient of the Governor’s Quality Award, and was one of only 4 hospitals to receive this recognition in the 22-year history of the award.

Most recently, Washington Regional was recognized as one of the best hospitals in the state, ahead of all other hospitals in the Ozarks region, in the U.S. News & World Report annual “Best Hospitals” list. For its 2019-20 ratings, U.S. News & World Report evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 25 adult specialties, procedures and conditions. Scores were based largely on objective measures such as risk-adjusted survival, readmission rates, volume, patient safety and quality of nursing. Only about 13% of the nation’s hospitals made the list.

In recent years, our community has been ranked among the nation’s most livable by Forbes, Kiplinger Report and Money Magazine. US News and World Report continues to rank Fayetteville as one of the top 5 best places to live in the United States.

Our area features stately, tree-filled neighborhoods, some of the best schools in the state, first-class performing arts center, live music venues, nationally recognized art museum, miles of biking and hiking trails. Majestic bluffs, shimmering lakes and rivers and rolling hills provide the perfect backdrop for participating in outdoor activities in Northwest Arkansas.
