HEADLINE: Long Island, New York (one-hour plus to Manhattan): BE/BC Pulmonologist/CC physician is needed to join a well respected, very busy and successful single-specialty group. They currently have seven Board Certified Pulmonary/CC physicians. Five do both Pulmonary and CC, one who only does CC, and one who only does Pulmonary Medicine. The mixture is about 60-70% Pulmonary and 30-40% Critical Care. However, they are flexible regarding the percentages and are willing to change and adjust them to accommodate the physician s preferences and whatever the new physician would like it to be. 100% Critical Care: If the candidate only wants to do 100% Critical Care, that will also be okay with the practice. Call Schedule: One weekend per month / one week day per week. They only take call at one of their two hospitals and not at the hospital where they only do Critical Care. The new Pulmonlogist/Critical Care physician will perform pulmonary consults and admissions only at one top-notch teaching hospital and trauma center three weeks per month. For the Critical Care component, she or he will also admit to a general medical and surgical community hospital for seven days/one week per month. $ The financial earning potential is strong!

PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITY:

  • A Board Eligible/Board Certified Pulmonologist/Critical Care physician is needed to join a well respected, very busy and successful single-specialty private practice group.
  • They currently have seven Board Certified Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians. Five do both Pulmonary and Critical Care, one who only does Critical Care, and one who only does Pulmonary Medicine.
  • All aspects of pulmonary diseases and critical care are available for this practice, which include outpatient and inpatient care, critical care, sleep medicine, procedures etc.
  • The mixture is about 60-70% Pulmonary and 30-40% Critical Care. However, they are flexible regarding the percentages and are willing to change and adjust them to accommodate the physician s preferences and whatever the new physician would like it to be.
  • They are also open/flexible regarding several options: (1) There is the option of either full-time or part-time employment. (2) A mixture of both Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care. (3) 100% Critical Care: If the candidate only wants to do 100% Critical Care, that will also be okay with the practice. Schedule: For a full-time physician, that will have to be done one week on and one week off fashion. For a part-time physician, it would be one week per month. For both full and part-time CC physicians, they would not be working nights. (4) Sleep Medicine: There is opportunity to practice Sleep Medicine if the candidate is trained and has an interest. However, Sleep Medicine is optional and not a requirement. (5) Pulmonary Medicine only: There is opportunity to practice only Pulmonary Medicine if desired by the physician.
  • The new Pulmonologist/Critical Care physician will work at only one office.
  • Call Schedule: It will be one weekday per week and one weekend per month. They only take call at one of their two hospitals and not at the hospital where they only do Critical Care.
  • Medical Centers: The new Pulmonlogist/Critical Care physician will perform pulmonary consults and admissions only at one top-notch teaching hospital and trauma center three weeks per month. For the Critical Care component, she or he will also admit to a general medical and surgical community hospital for seven days/one week per month.
  • These excellent opportunities are due to the growth and expansion of their practice, patient base and service area.
  • This practice was established about fifteen years ago.
  • Availability: Pulmonologist/CC physicians who are already in practice and have work experience and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellows who are available in the summer of 2020 are all welcome to apply and will be strongly considered.

FINANCIAL COMPENSATION AND FUTURE EARNINGS: This successful and busy practice is offering:

  • The starting base salary range will be very competitive for the area and is negotiable.
  • There will be a productivity incentive bonus. Depending upon how hard this physician works, it can significantly increase the earning potential of the incoming Pulmonologist/CC physician.
