The Palmetto Health University of South Carolina Medical Group is currently recruiting Board Certified/Board Eligible physicians to practice Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Columbia, South Carolina.

We are interested in General Gastroenterologists and Gastroenterologists with EUS/ERCP training.  An IBD focus would be an added benefit.

This employed opportunity offers a highly competitive salary, a rotation of inpatient and outpatient work, and a comprehensive benefits package. Columbia is home to the main campus of the University of South Carolina, founded in 1801.  The Prisma Health Richland Hospital campus serves as the primary clinical site for the University Of South Carolina School Of Medicine.

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is a newly formed academic division that offers career development opportunities for clinicians and physician educators. We strongly encourage high level clinical care and innovation. Our physicians will work with Internal Medicine residents and nurse practitioners.

We are supported by pediatric gastroenterologists at the adjacent Prisma Health Children’s Hospital.

Its educational atmosphere is shaped by its more than 10 college/universities, 24 private schools and seven public school districts.  Centrally located in the state, Columbia is South Carolina's capital with a metro population of >800,000 and home to most every amenity expected of a metropolitan area. From SEC and minor league sports to beautiful rivers and national parks, Columbia offers something for every age and interest. This ideal location places Columbia within a 2 hours drive to some of the most spectacular beaches, lush Blue Ridge Mountains, and the history-rich city of Charleston.
