This role supports Aperture Credentialing, LLC, an NCQA-certified Credentials Verification Organization (CVO) by serving on the Credentialing Committee as a voting member or a Consultant and credentialing policy creation and enforcement.

 

We are looking for one someone who practices in one of the following disciplines to fill this role:

  • MD with specialty in Endocrinology or Nephrology
  • MD with specialty in Internal Medicine plus a sub-specialty in Geriatrics
  • DMD or DDS.

Expected average commitment to be 2-5 hours per week and will be paid at $200 / hour.   

Role Responsibilities

  • Participate in the credentialing committee and credentialing review process
  • Review and evaluate the qualifications of providers for initial credentialing and recredentialing
  • Review and advise regarding the appointment or denial of applicants
  • When appropriate interview applicants to resolve questions about credentialing or recredentialing
  • Develop, coordinate, review, and makes recommendations to the credentialing process and policies at least annually

  • Demonstrate skills in providing excellent service to customers
  • Current knowledge of issues related to care of individuals that are Veterans 
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Demonstrated familiarity with credentialing
  • High energy level, strong work ethic, and proactive problem-solving skills

 

Requirements

  • Professional Healthcare Degree (Examples:  MD, DO, APRN, PsyD, PT, LCSW)
  • A current unrestricted health care license
  • Professional Liability Insurance
  • Pass Criminal Background Check
  • Eligible to participate in a state or federal healthcare program
  • Clean drug screen
  • For Physicians, certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties in his/her respective specialty
