Orthopedic Specialists of Seattle is a well-established, eight-member group practice, in Seattle Washington.  We are seeking a total joint-fellowship trained orthopedist to join our group.

Our current partners are all fellowship-trained, and range in age and scope of practice, covering adult reconstruction, sports medicine, shoulder and elbow, hand surgery, complex surgery of the hip and knee, and foot and ankle.  We currently have total joint expertise in the area of shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle replacement.  However, due to an expanding patient population coupled with partner retirements, we feel a significant opportunity exists within our region and referral network for a new hip and knee total joint replacement/reconstruction surgeon to rapidly grow an active and thriving practice.

OSS is a care center within Proliance Surgeons, Inc.  Proliance is an entirely surgeon-owned and managed corporation, consisting of 250 surgeons in the areas of Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Urology, Neurosurgery, Plastics, and OBGyn.  Proliance surgeons own and operate over 100 different Care Centers, ASCs, MRI centers, and Physical Therapy sites throughout the Puget Sound region.  While our size allows us to competitively contract with our local insurance carriers, physician ownership and management results in an excellent amount of local autonomy at the Care Center level.  A new associate would be eligible for shareholder status in the corporation upon ABOS certification.

We staff two clinics in the Seattle area, and own and operate our own OSS surgery center, MRI, and physical therapy facilities.  A new associate would be placed on partnership track with the hope that they would be able to be fully participatory in those facilities within 2 years of starting with us.

We already have a fledgling outpatient total-joint program for shoulders, hips, and knees, and we are eager to add a new partner who will help us develop that program into a much more robust entity.

We admit patients to two excellent hospital systems, Swedish Medical Center and Northwest Hospital/UW.  We are compensated on a per diem basis for Emergency Room call, and this would be available as an additional revenue source for an associate starting a practice. All partners share group/weekend and trauma call, which is at a Level 3 acuity.

Seattle is a wonderful, vibrant, growing city, recognized internationally as having an outstanding quality of life.  One can sit in the opera on Friday evening, and drive 40 minutes to skiing Saturday morning.  The food and culture scene is on par with or exceeds any city in America.  Our partners all enjoy a variety of outdoor and indoor hobbies with their families.

We think this opportunity is an excellent one for the right person, and look forward to interviewing any suitable candidates.
