The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology of the University of Minnesota Medical School seeks a fulltime physician scientist to lead a cutting-edge translational research program in Mycobacterium tuberculosis.  Academic rank, compensation and appointment type will be based on qualifications and experience.  Candidates are expected to demonstrate a strong record of research productivity.  Evidence of an established research program with external funding is preferred.  Candidates must have demonstrated ability in teaching and in scholarly productivity.  Minimum requirements for an M.D. include eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota, board certified or board eligible in CP or AP/CP. 

Sign-out responsibilities, on-call duties, resident supervision and conferences are shared with other members of the clinical pathology faculty.  Faculty will be active in their national organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents and faculty.
