Academic Nephrologist, New Orleans, LA

The Department of Nephrology at the Ochsner Medical Center (OMC) in New Orleans, Louisiana is searching for a full-time Nephrologist to join a department which was ranked 28th by US News & World Report in 2017.

We seek an individual who enjoys direct patient care across the spectrum of a tertiary care for a Nephrology practice. We offer the successful candidate the opportunity to teach medical students, residents and fellows, and to participate in clinical research programs to enhance the quality and safety of patient care in a large multispecialty academic group practice setting.

The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment from our medical school, the Ochsner Clinical School, which enrolls over 100 medical students per year, and is affiliated with the prestigious The University of Queensland (Australia). Ochsner has the largest Graduate Medical Education Programs in the state and our Nephrology fellowship includes 2/3 physicians per year over a two-year program.
