MedStar Georgetown University Hospital (MGUH) seeks a highly-qualified, fellowship trained Spine Neurosurgeon to join our established neurosurgery team in the Washington DC Region. In addition to a primary role in the care of patients with spinal and general neurosurgical disorders,  the individual selected will have opportunity to participate in  clinical research activities as well as academic teaching for the Georgetown Neurosurgery Residency Program. Surgery may be performed in the University and community hospital settings as well as at MedStar’s ambulatory surgery sites in the region..

 The candidate will be expected to see outpatients in District of Columbia as well as Maryland office locations.      

Qualified candidates must hold an MD degree, have completed an accredited neurosurgical residency and fellowship training in spinal surgery, and be Board Certified/Board Eligible in neurological surgery. The candidate must be eligible for licensurein Washington, D.C. and Maryland. Demonstrated clinical expertise in spine surgery is required.  Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals to advance clinical programs areessential.

Appointment to the faculty of Georgetown University School of Medicine, commensurate with experience, is available.  A competitive compensation and benefits package are offered.
