ROLE of the POSITION

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Las Vegas, Nevada, is seeking candidates at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level to provide clinical services as a Generalist OB-GYN. This is a 12-month faculty (non-tenure track) position in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This role involves outpatient and consultative care at the UNLV School of Medicine OBGYN Outpatient Centers, located in Las Vegas Nevada. The successful candidate will participate in medical student, resident education and supervision and have an interest in scholarly activities. Advanced laparoscopic/robotic skills are preferred. Proven abilities in the areas of medical student and resident education, clinical research, health outcomes or education outcomes research is desirable. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and rank.

QUALIFICATIONS

If applicable use for clinical appointments: The successful candidate is expected to have an M.D. degree, D.O. or equivalent and completion of ACGME accredited residency program. Candidate must be board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology, prior to employment commencing. If board eligible, certification must be completed within the first two years of employment. Candidates must be eligible for a Nevada medical license, malpractice coverage and meet credentialing requirements and must be able to obtain admitting privileges at applicable hospitals and/or clinics. Finalist must possess and maintain a State Board of Pharmacy license and DEA license and may be subject to a background check.

SALARY RANGE

Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
