Rheumatology Physician Scientist

The Department of Medicine, Section of Immunology, Allergy and Rheumatology (IAR) at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in Houston, Texas seeks candidates for a physician-scientist to join our academic practice. We seek a BC/BE rheumatologist with a research interest in immunology and/or rheumatic diseases at the level of assistant or associate professor to join our expanding section. The successful candidate will have a research focus and clinical interests that take advantage of our outstanding educational, clinical and research resources, including the Biologic of Inflammation Center.
The BCM Section of IAR has a total of 19 faculty with clinical practices at CHI Baylor St Luke’s Medical Center, Baylor Clinic, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Harris Health Clinic and Ben Taub Hospital. The Section also has multiple well-funded research programs autoimmune, inflammatory, rheumatic and allergic diseases. We also have an ACGME approved rheumatology fellowship.
Rank and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications. The applicant is expected to fulfill the academic and clinical missions of Baylor College of Medicine.
