Westchester Medical Center announces an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished, nationally recognized cardiologist to serve as Director of Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD). Reporting to the Director and Chief of Cardiology, the Director will plan, develop and provide leadership for the WMC Health Network ACHD program. In close collaboration with the pediatric cardiology team at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, the Director will establish a distinct, system-wide ACHD program, and as a member of the Division of Cardiology at Westchester Medical Center, maintain an active clinical practice in ACHD and general cardiology. The Director will be eligible for an academic appointment with New York Medical College School of Medicine commensurate with experience.

From Level 1, Level 2 and Pediatric Trauma Centers, the region’s only acute care children’s hospital, an academic medical center, several community hospitals, dozens of specialized institutes and centers, skilled nursing, assisted living facilities, homecare services and one of the largest mental health systems in New York State, WMCHealth is the pre-eminent provider of integrated healthcare in the Hudson Valley.

The WMCHealth Heart and Vascular Institute is a multi-specialty practice dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality cardiac and vascular services. The successful candidate will be a nationally recognized cardiologist specializing in adult congenital heart disease, with an excellent track record in clinical care, teaching and research. Candidates must demonstrate a strong vision for achieving excellence in adult cardiac care and an understanding of the opportunities and challenges associated with building a new program within a premier hospital. Successful candidates will hold an MD, MD/PhD or equivalent, and have completed ACGME accredited training in internal medicine, cardiology and adult congenital heart disease. Eligibility for an unrestricted New York medical license and an academic appointment at New York Medical College are required.
