DaVita Medical Group, part of OptumCare, is seeking a highly-skilled General Surgeon for our Emergency Surgical Services team in Albuquerque, NM.  Join an organization that allows you to serve your patients, love your team and become your best.

Details:

• Emergency Room coverage: we take ER admits/consults and inpatient calls 
• Types of surgeries include: appendectomies, cholecystectomies, intestinal perforations, bowl obstructions, obstructing tumors, nec.Fasc., I+Ds, etc.
• 12 hour shifts, a mixture of nights/days:  7am-7pm or 7pm-7am
• 21 shifts per month which can be done from home unless you get called in; average of 3 calls per shift; flexibility to work more if desired
• Coverage will be 3 weeks on and one week off, rotating between our downtown location and our women's/west side location
• Post op-clinic is Mon/Wed/Thr and covered by a PA; you would need to be available for backup if the PA has questions/concerns about a patient.
• No trauma call/coverage
• Pulmonary/Critical Care coverage
