The Division of Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine at Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a physician to join one of the busiest wound healing centers in the country. Ideal candidates will be BE/BC in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine, though those who have completed a UHMS designated introductory course are encouraged to apply. All candidates should possess, or be in the process of obtaining, additional wound care certification. The selected physician will join an experienced medical director, Dr. Blane Shatkin, a plastic surgeon who has been leading the program since its inception in 1997.

The Memorial Hospital Pembroke Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy sees an average volume of 850-1,000 wound care visits per month and houses three monoplace chambers. The center is one of the only facilities in South Broward County to offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy for patients with hard-to-heal wounds and consistently experiences healing rates above the national average.

This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
