Nephrologist

SBH Health System, a 400+ bed acute care hospital and academic health system in the Bronx, New York and affiliated with the CUNY School of Medicine and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a full-time Nephrologist.

The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical and communication skills and be committed to delivering high quality care to an underserved population and mentoring of residents and medical students.  Clinical responsibilities include care of outpatient and inpatient hemodialysis patients and inpatient and outpatient renal consultations.  Potential for leadership responsibilities, including roles in Graduate Medical Education and quality improvement.  Academic appointments at the CUNY School of Medicine and/or the Albert Einstein College of Medicine are commensurate with credentials and experience. 

Candidates must be BE/BC in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and possess New York State license.  Current DEA is required.  Spanish proficiency is desirable.
