LSU Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, invites applications for the position of Section Chief of Endocrinology. Under the broad review of the Department Head, the Chief of the Section of Endocrinology will provide leadership for the Section’s educational, clinical, and research activities and be responsible for overseeing fiscal management of the Section. Incumbent will work to promote multidisciplinary collaboration and effective communication. Qualified applicants should have a demonstrated capacity to foster an environment in which excellence in patient care, teaching, research and scholarship can flourish, as well as the ability to develop and lead a collaborative program that interfaces with other departments and interdisciplinary centers and programs.
Qualifications- BC/BE (or equivalent) in Endocrinology
- Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana before start date
- Five (5) years of experience in teaching and patient care in the area of Endocrinology
- Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in teaching and patient care
- Qualified to be appointed as an advanced rank faculty member, Associate Professor or Full Professor
