Women & Infants Hospital/Alpert Medical School of Brown University offers the opportunity to join the Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology (Specialist Division).   This is a full-time academic appointment within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, ranked #11 in 2019 US News and World report Best Obstetrics and Gynecology Programs.  Women & Infants is one of the nation’s leading specialty hospitals for women and newborns. 

As a member of the Specialist Division you will enjoy:

• Clinical supervision and teaching of medical students and residents
• Diverse clinical experiences including scheduled outpatient, surgical and hospitalist time
• Hospitalist responsibilities which include Labor & Delivery, inpatient care and the Women’s Emergency Department
• Hospitalist shifts (12-hours) include nights, weekends and holidays which are evenly distributed amongst all members of the team.

Women & Infants experiences over 8500 births, comparable surgical volume and 28,000 patient visits through our specialty emergency room annually.  We are affiliated with Care New England Health System – a three hospital system based in Providence, RI.
