Wound Care Physician

Piedmont Health system is currently recruiting a board-certified physician with wound care experience and primary training in hyperbaric medicine for Piedmont Athens Regional in Athens, Georgia.  The candidate will join a well-established employed physician group which is a part of a quality Healthcare System.  Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to advance to a medical director position within the department.  This candidate will help to nurture and expand the clinical excellence known to the Piedmont Healthcare family.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a passion for providing wound care to patients in the post-acute and inpatient care setting. The candidate will need to display a strong bedside manner with a team-oriented mindset. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday. This position does not require any call or weekend coverage. This physician will work closely with the nursing staff and physical therapists who are certified in Hyperbaric and Wound Ostomy care. Epic EMR experience is a plus.
