Assistant Professor of Medicine

Assistant Professor of Medicine sought to participate in programs within the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine and serve as an attending physician at the UK HealthCare Hospitals in the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine inpatient and consult services. Will provide care for the critically ill patients in the medical intensive care units (MICU) and will manage patients in outpatient and outreach clinics. Will contribute to the teaching responsibilities of the Department including participation in the Division’s courses for medical students and teaching and supervising residents, fellows, and graduate students. Expected to give didactic lectures in the classroom setting, and hands-on training for medical students, interns, residents and fellows.  Expected to serve on applicable University and College of Medicine committees.  Will perform clinical research in the area of pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine. Worksites are located in Fayette and Rockcastle Counties, Kentucky.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 730am-530pm, on call as needed. Expected to take weekend/holiday call in the MICU and approximately 15 nights of in house call/year. Requirements-MD/ECFMG equivalent,  BE/BC Pulmonary Medicine, BE/BC Critical Care Medicine, KY medical license,
