  The VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS), seeks a board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatologist to care for veterans with providing Inpatient & Outpatient Rheumatology consults, procedures, follow-up evaluation of patients and the supervision of postdoctoral fellows and residents from University of Maryland Medical Center.

   A typical the day would be a 50/50 split between the VAMHCS and from University of Maryland Medical Center (4 half days). Enjoy a great quality of life schedule. Call coverage- postdoctoral fellows take 1st call; 8-12 weeks per year and typically by phone.

 Ideal candidate: B/C in research program supported by a VA merit & grants from NIH.


  • Full and unrestricted MD/DO license  
  • B/C Internal Medicine and B/C Rheumatology
  • A faculty appointment at University of Maryland School of Medicine commensurate with training and experience.
  • Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, committed to resident, student and advance practitioner education, and process improvement.

Medical License:  A clean, valid medical license from any US State or Territory is all that is required to practice medicine in a VA Federal Hospital anywhere in the nation.
