Hospital-based Occupational Medicine Position North of Palm Springs, CA

Tenet Healthcare in collaboration with Hi-Desert Medical Center, actively seek an Occupation Medicine physician.  Candidate needed for a brand new hospital-based Occ-Med practice for the beautiful Yucca Valley.  This employment model position, is supported by the area’s physician group foundation which will provide the office management/administration services. The brand new MOB will be located five minutes from the hospital with spacious office space and 4 to 5 exam rooms.  The practice will see hospital employees plus patients from area employers.  The appropriate candidate must have the ability to independently establish all the clinical aspects of a new Occ-Med practice. Scheduling autonomy includes the option offer later-clinic hours once per week.  This promises to be a coveted position with an opportunity teach and work with rotating IM residents.

Area Hospital(s): Joshua Tree’s population of under 10,000; with a service area is over 30,000 residents. 

Tenet’s 59-bed hospital offers 24/7 ER and hospitalists services; rehabilitation therapy; outpatient behavior health. Tenet’s area network includes three hospitals, primary and specialty care clinics; plus diagnostic centers. Located within 30 minutes, is Tenet’s Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, a 387-bed tertiary health center providing services in all medical specialties including neurology and cardiac care.

About the Community:  Joshua Tree is in Southern California’s famous Yucca Valley (San Bernardino County). Qualifications: Candidates must be BC/BE in Occupational Health with comparable practice experience.  2020 Occupation Medicine graduating residents are encouraged to apply.  AB Board Certified candidates in primary care with extensive Occ-Med experience may be considered.  This region/practice is not able to sponsor Visa requests.
