The incoming physician would be part of a 60+ physician employment group that is owned and operated by Appalachian Regional Healthcare System (ARHS), a small non-profit health system based in Boone, NC. ARHS currently owns 2 hospital facilities in Boone and Linville, NC; as well as a regional cancer center, a 10-bed inpatient behavioral health center, 112-bed Skilled Nursing/Post Acute Care Center and $18 million health and wellness and physical therapy center.

The incoming pediatrician would work 7 on / 7 off schedule, covering the nursery and inpatient pediatric patients at one hospital (70-beds). Some Clinic and Teaching responsibilities based around a new Family Med Residency program. Level II nursery, 650 deliveries per year, respiratory therapy attends all deliveries and c-sections. This program has the full support of administration and the local medical staff.
