Large Obgyn Practice Just Outside of Raleigh

We are screening for a position outside of Raleigh to join a large Ob practice.  The hospital has da Vinci.  Below is the brief.

This private practice of 5 MD's and 2 FNP's is seeking to bring in another Obgyn.  With the office staffed with 20 staff directly in department - a mix of secretaries, CMA's, RN's.  The procedure for surgeries to get scheduled is by the designated time for each physician to schedule into.  Secretary usually schedules and a pre-op nurse does a majority of the pre-op teaching.  Schedule varies somewhat per provider for GYN averaging from 18-25 patients per half day clinic, OB schedule is similar for all physicians at 24 per ½ clinic.

The practice mix is about 65% GYN, 35% OB.  Each physician has a designated nurse to "run" the clinic and handle lab call backs and phone questions.  There is also a triage clinical staff that assists 2 clinics at a time. The in office procedures are available Colpo, LEEP, EMB, local excisions, Uroflow with limited cystoscopy, Implanon, Currently negotiating to perform Essures, H/S, HTA possible TVT's in office Sonohysterograms, amniocentesis, and IUI.  Normal schedule is as follows; 5 ½ clinics per week per MD in main office, 1 ½ clinic per week per MD at satellite office, 1 ½ day per week in ASC (Surgery Center), and 1 ½  day per week in Main OR.  There is other services are available in office which include AIUM certified U/S lab with 2 techs and Seimans 3D scanners, ISCD certified Bone Density Lab, CT, MRI, X-Ray, Physical therapy including certified pelvic rehabilitation therapist and Biofeedback with E-Stim Sleep Lab, and Bioskills lab.

The office hours are usually 8-5 Monday - Friday.  No appointments scheduled during 12-1 usually.  The practice currently do not see after hours clinic or Friday afternoon.  The practice does have EMR which is Allscript Touchworks - Pretty easy to use with Medcin and text-templates.  Neurostar is their  PACS vendor.  Both able to be accessed from remote locations (i.e. home, satellite, hospital) Order Entry and Charge Capture for physicians. 

This practice averages deliveries -55-75/mo. 24 hour anesthesia available usually ends up being in house due to L&D and OR volume.  Level 2 NICU (28 weeks) and 2 Neonatologists and 6 Neo NPs (24 hr coverage).  Post call person responsible for rounding and doing circs but if busy the on call person will help out.  Hospital support is good.  Lab, phlebotomy, transport, interventional radiology is available as needed.  ER with dedicated Emergency Medicine physicians at hospital.  For physicians a paper chart that is scanned into McKesson physician portal.   Nursing charting done in Watchchild for L&D and Post-Partum.    WatchChild is available through physician portal at remote locations including home.  Central Monitoring from L&D, Call Room and Remote locations.  The hospital has 6 LDRs plus  4 Triage rooms, and two  extended stay rooms.  There is one OR for CS on L7D and one dedicated room also in main OR.  Usually dedicated surgical tech, partner if needed.  The CS rate is 28%.
