Job Description

The Department of Internal Medicine, Division at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine seeks candidate for a full-time (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) General Internal Medicine position. Salary and rank are dependent upon qualifications and experience.

This clinical faculty physician will practice general internal medicine in the outpatient setting with occasional inpatient responsibility. The incumbent will also be expected to participate in healthcare education and participate in the teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees. Applicants for this position will demonstrate excellence in patient care and strong teaching skills. Candidates who wish to pursue research endeavors as part of their expectations are also encouraged to apply.

 

Required Qualifications

  1. MD/DO in internal medicine
  2. BC/BE
  3. Eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license & malpractice insurance

Experience in at least three of the following areas:

  • clinical practice experience in Internal Medicine
  • resident teaching in an ACGME accredited residency program
  • medical student teaching
  • clincial trail research
  • NIH or VA Merit Review/Cooperative Study funded research
  • Residency/Fellowship administration

 

Compensation Grade

Assistant Professor - II

Associate Professor - II

Professor - IV

 

Total Compensation

The total compensation package includes a negotiable competitive salary, moving allowance (if applicable), a generous retirement plan, health insurance options that include dental and vision, life insurance, long-term disability, annual and sick leave, along with other benefits.
