Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Physiatrist Opportunity in Miami, FL

The Miami, FL Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting a Physiatrist for our Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Program. You will work in our 31-bed inpatient/outpatient SCI Unit and admit, workup, consult and rehabilitate newly & previously injured spinal cord Veterans.

You will coordinate comprehensive and integrated care with other therapy providers including, PT, OT, Kinesiotherapy, Recreational Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, Social Work, Psychology and Rehabilitation Nursing Care. You will prescribe comprehensive therapy treatments and make appropriate referrals to surgical and medicine specialties for co-treatment and diagnoses of neuromuscular, neurologic, cardiovascular, or musculoskeletal disorders. PM&R resident teaching; opportunity for faculty appointment at University of Miami.

Completion of SCI fellowship or SCI experience required. Board eligible/certified in PM&R required. Will consider fellowship trained IM or Geriatricians.
