The ideal candidate will have strong clinical, teaching and communication skills. Clinical responsibility will be largely focused on ambulatory pediatric gastroenterology in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Regional practice development and leadership of the Division’s activities in Fairfield will be an integral part of this physician’s portfolio. Opportunities for clinical research and quality improvement are abundant and will be supported. Our Center for Pediatric IBD currently cares for over 800 active patients and is supported by two dedicated clinical RNs, an RN educator/concierge, full-time psychologist, and several dieticians. Endoscopic procedures are performed in our hospital and a nearby hospital-owned ambulatory surgical center. Our new ambulatory infusion center provides state-of-the art care and an exciting and engaging environment for patients and families. Teaching includes our GI fellows, pediatric residents, and medical students from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.  Academic appointment is provided at the School of Medicine. A minimum of 3 years post-fellowship experience is required.
