TeamHealth is seeking a physician to join our emergency department team at McLeod Health Seacoast in Little River, South Carolina. Little River is located along the coast of South Carolina. Known for its fresh seafood, fishing charters, annual blue crab festival, and its historic centuries-old live oak trees, Little River's relaxing pace of life is all you need. It is located only 20 miles from Myrtle Beach, so residents are able to enjoy the hustle and bustle as well as all the famous attractions, golf courses, and shopping outlets while still being able to live in a peaceful, quaint place. McLeod is a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system. McLeod constantly seeks to improve patient care with efforts that are physician-led, data-driven and evidence-based. McLeod Health Seacoast is currently expanding to add a 50-bed inpatient tower and concourse. This 28-bed ED sees 28,000 patients annually and offers 24 hours of physician coverage, 20-24 hours of APC coverage and 12-hour shifts. The EMR is Cerner with 2-4% pediatrics and an 11% admittance rate. We ask that you be board certified in Emergency Medicine or a primary care specialty with Emergency Medicine experience. ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are also required. TeamHealth is committed to strengthening hospitals, supporting physicians and improving healthcare.
