Nocturnist Urgent Care Service/Department of Medicine

Manhattan, NY, Westchester, NY, and Bergen, NJ

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is one of the world s premier cancer centers, committed to exceptional patient care, leading-edge research, and superb educational programs. The institution is a comprehensive cancer center whose purposes are the treatment and control of cancer, the advancement of biomedical knowledge through laboratory and clinical research, and the training of scientists, physicians and other health care workers.

MSK has built an outstanding team of hospitalists over the past 15 years and continues to grow. MSK is currently seeing Urgent Care Nocturnists at the Manhattan, Westchester, NY and Bergen, NJ sites. Nocturnist are all internal medicine trained/boarded; no specific training in medical oncology is required. Emergency Medicine Physicians, Oncologists and palliative care specialists are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the hospitalist services at the local host hospitals, to round on MSK patients who are admitted.
  • Providing coordinated care with local subspecialists and to serve as a conduit between the MSK oncologists and patients.
  • Building strong relationships with physicians in all specialties to provide excellent care to MSK patients.

The ideal candidate will have:

Superior communication skills; board certification/eligibility in internal medicine, proven clinical management skills and the ability to obtain a current unrestricted NJ and NY Medical License.
