Trauma Surgery

Facility is looking for a surgeon to cover general and trauma cases starting November 11, 2019 - July 31, 2020.

Additional Details:

• Facility will allow 2 locums to split full time coverage if needed.

• Locum to cover day shift on site, night call 7p-7a, & rotating 24-hr weekend call.

• Call Rate: $2,150/day

• Callback rate: $ 310/hr

• Due to processing time for OH license, providers need to have license at the time of submission.

• Average credentialing process takes 60-90 days.

• Fellowship not required.

• Average # of cases per shift: 2/day

• Number of Physicians in group: 2

• Will other Surgeons provide coverage during locums coverage dates? Yes

• ED Trauma Level: 3

• % of ED patients admitted to the hospital: Trauma-48%

• Will charts be available for completion/signature before physician ends final shift? Yes

• Annual ER Volume: 40,000

• # of ED Beds: 35

• Total # of Facility Beds: 209

• Documentation system (EMR / Narrative / Template / etc.): EMR

Percentage of:

• Adult % 49%

• Pediatric % 14%

• Geriatric % 37%

Trauma:

• Blunt % 90%

• Penetrating % 2%

• Processing time for privilege application: 90 days

• Cholecystectomy

• Hernioplasty

• Breast Surgery

• Upper/Lower GI Endoscopy

• Sigmoidoscopy

• Colonoscopy

• Chest tube insertion

• Central line insertion

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

• BC General Surgery - Required

• BLS, ACLS, ATLS - Required

• OH license at time of submission - Required

• Local Providers within driving distance - Highly preferred
