Prisma Health is looking for a transformational visionary physician leader for its PACE program, this leader will serve as the System Medical Director for Prisma Health. They will be taking over a well-established program that has been in place for over 30 years. The ideal candidate will have the compassion, leadership, and desire to serve our medically complicated patients and have the vision to move the program forward to accomplish population health goals. The positon will have the complete support of the organizational leadership to create a nationally recognized model of patient care and operations.
Responsibilities
Provides clinical leadership to the Prisma Health SeniorCare PACE program, including oversight of policies and procedures for clinical services and the Quality Assurance (QA) program.
Supervises PACE clinical staff, including physicians, physician extenders, and other members of the clinical team as assigned.
Works jointly with the PACE Program Director to develop, implement, and update policies and procedures related to the medical care of PACE participants.
Oversees the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the Prisma Health SeniorCare PACE Quality Assurance (QA) program.
Provides direct primary clinical care, including oversight of inpatient management and assessments and call coverage rotated with other PACE physicians.
Works jointly with the PACE Program Director to oversee 24-7 on-call coverage for PACE participants.
Serves as a liaison between the PACE program and the physician/provider community.
Actively participates in National PACE Association primary care activities such a committees/subcommittees and work groups; attend NPA conferences on a regular basis as both an attendee and presenter.
Participates on Prisma Health Senior Care PACE Quality Assurance Committee, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Committee, Leadership Team, Ethics Committee, and other work groups as assigned.
The leader must be passionate about this patient population and moving the program forward. We are open to physicians with internal medicine, family medicine or geriatric backgrounds. With or without experience directly involving PACE.
Location
The physician leader will have the opportunity to be located in either Columbia or Greenville, South Carolina.
