Lead Physician, Full-Time Geriatric opportunity with the Allegheny Health Network

Allegheny Health Network located in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a new member to lead the Division of Supportive Care and Geriatrics. Qualified candidate must be board certified/board eligible in geriatrics and will be responsible for coordinating and implementing:

  1. Teaching of students, residents and fellows in geriatric education
  2. Overseeing and implementing programs in hospitals such as HELP (Hospital Elder Life Program) and geriatric trauma consultation services
  3. Coordinating and directing the implementation of personal and in-home care along with services in skilled nursing facilities in collaboration with the division of Post-Acute Services

Eligible candidates should demonstrate leadership skills through work experience and have at least 5 years of direct geriatric and post-acute care. This is a new position which will have administrative support, report to the chair of the AHN, Primary Care Institute and be involved in further developing team based care models to enable our organization to be better prepared to succeed in a value-based care reimbursement model.
