Assistant/Associate Professor - Neurosurgery
The LSU Health Shreveport Department of Neurosurgery is accepting applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor with subspecialty interest in the treatment of complex spinal disorders and/or peripheral nerve surgery. The interested candidate should have completed an ACGME accredited neurosurgical residency and be interested in joining a busy clinical spine program. Fellowship training is preferred but not required for this position. The candidate should be facile in the surgical management of spinal trauma, complex spinal instrumentation, minimally invasive spinal techniques and other innovative spinal surgical procedures. Candidates with additional interest in peripheral nerve surgery would also have the opportunity to build an excellent comprehensive peripheral nerve practice. The candidate will be joining a team of experienced spinal surgeons and will be able to develop a robust spine practice while having the guidance and mentorship of our team. The applicant should have a strong interest in teaching and working with our excellent team of residents. They will also be expected to perform clinical and/or translational research. Anatomic research opportunities will also be readily available. Compensation will be based upon the level of training and experience. If hired, the applicant will have the complete support of the chairman and director of the spine program.
