Responsibilities:

WellStar Medical Group is seeking a Trauma Surgical Critical Care physician to join a new trauma program at WellStar Cobb Hospital, soon to be a level 3 trauma center. Cobb is a 382-bed hospital located in Austell, GA, approximately 20 miles west of Atlanta. The surgeon will provide clinical care of trauma patients and those with critical surgical conditions in a 16 bed burn unit and will support the Trauma Program as needed through administrative support, teaching, additional clinical work, community outreach, and other work as necessary.

Qualifications:

Candidate must be Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery with plans to recertify when necessary. The candidate must have completed an accredited Fellowship in Trauma Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, have a certificate or be able to obtain a certificate in Added Qualifications in Surgical Critical Care within two years, and plans to recertify when necessary.
