Pulmonary Critical Care - Intensivist Opportunity
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) has an excellent employment opportunity for a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician who is Fellowship trained and Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) located in Boise and Nampa, Idaho.
SAMG is a physician led 500+ provider multispecialty group with a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. This is a robust ICU practice, providing services for a full spectrum of complex, critically ill patients at the tertiary Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) - Boise, and the community Saint Alphonsus Medical Center Nampa. SARMC is the principal provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary critical care services within the region.
Requirements include successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency program and a Pulmonary Medicine Fellowship program. Additional Critical Care board certification is preferred.
The selected candidate must be eligible to obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure, granting of privileges at SARMC- Boise, SAMC- Nampa, and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed, a DEA as well as valid controlled substance registration with the Boards of Pharmacy.
The schedule for this opportunity is 182 ICU shifts annually, which includes rotations of days and nights. The physician must possess a sincere desire to practice in a high acuity ICU setting, managing the treatment of complex, critically ill inpatients while maintaining a collaborative relationship with the adult hospitalist medicine service and other specialists. They will also practice intermittent robotic telemedicine consultations.
Support for the Pulmonary Critical Care physicians at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center includes Trauma, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, General surgery, Interventional Cardiology and interventional stroke care. Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa is an 18-bed ICU, provides all standard ICU procedures including therapeutic and diagnostic bronchoscope.
