Announcement – Vascular Surgeon
The Corporal Michael J. Crescenz Veterans Administration Medical Center located in Philadelphia is recruiting for a full-time (40 hours per week) Vascular Surgeon. The successful applicant will also spend a portion of time at the affiliated VA Facility in Wilmington. The applicant must have demonstrated a track record of excellence in clinical care, research, and education in the field of Vascular Surgery, and have a history of holding leadership positions. In order to support Graduate Medical Education, applicants must be competitive for a faculty appointment in the Division of Vascular Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania.

The applicant must hold or be eligible for Board Certification in Vascular Surgery and have demonstrated expertise in the performance of complex open and endovascular procedures, outpatient care, and potentially telemedicine with VA referral sites throughout Eastern Pennsylvania,
Southern New Jersey, and Northern Delaware. The incumbent will be required to take call as a member of the Vascular Surgery team, which may include on-site duty during weekends and holidays. Teamwork and collaboration skills are essential.

The Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VAMC has a comprehensive non-invasive vascular lab, and a hybrid room within the main OR is currently under construction. The Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VAMC is an academic partner of the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. The
critical roles of the position are resident supervision and clinical instruction in the operating room, outpatient clinic and inpatient settings, along with medical student education.
