Physician - Cardiothoracic Surgery

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon with five years of experience to join our group in Michigan City, Indiana at Franciscan Health Heart Center Michigan City .

WHAT WE NEED

Ideal candidate will have experience in cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, and preferred experience in vascular surgery, VATS, and robotics. The candidate will have a focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and have a desire to invest in the community while building long-lasting relationships with patients and their families.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Full-time Surgery Schedule
• Average number of open heart surgeries: 45 - 60
• Average number of total cardiac surgery volume: 250 to be divided among two providers anually
• Candidate will travel between Michgian City and Crown Point
• Common Diagnoses and Procedures:
  • CAD
  • Cardiac Valvular Disease
  • Peripheral Arterial Disease
  • Carotid Disease
  • CABG
  • CABG & Aortic Valve Replacement
  • CABG & Mitral Valve Replacement or Repair
  • Valve Surgery
  • Thoracic Surgery
  • VATS
  • Lobectomy
  • Vascular surgery
  • Carotid Endarterectomy
  • Femoral Popliteal Bypass
  • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair
  • Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm Repair Open
  • Management of Groin Complications
  • Retroperitoneal Bleeds
