Physician - Oncology - Hematology

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking two full-time experienced Board Eligible/Board Certified physicians to join us at our multi-disciplinary cancer center at Franciscan Health Woodland Cancer Care Center Michigan City located in Michigan City, Indiana. Physicians will join our established Northern Indiana extension of Oncology Hematology Specialists. Physicians will have support of an experienced local team of colleagues, as well as the extended support and reputation of our Oncology Hematology Specialists team in Central Indiana; one of the pre-eminent oncology groups in Indiana. Physicians will have the opportunity to serve leaders in the ongoing growth and development of the oncology service line in the Michigan City market area, alongside Franciscan Physician Network physicians in radiation oncology, surgical/procedural specialties, and primary care.

Candidates will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Physicians will need to work collaboratively to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of care, displaying passion and energy for fostering an environment of clinical and service excellence.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Medical Oncology Board Certified
  • Hematology Board Certified
• Clinic Schedule: Monday - Friday, 800 a.m. to 500 p.m.
• Weekday, Weekend & Holiday Call: 1:2
• Anticipated outpatient volume for new providers: 13 - 17 patients per day
  • Anticipated growth to 20+ patients per day within 2 years
• Common Cancer Diagnoses:
  • Breast
  • Colon
  • Lung
  • Rectal
  • Prostate
  • Benign Hematology conditions
