Ochsner Health System in New Orleans is seeking a full time Pathologist with Hematopathology and Molecular Pathology subspecialties to join our growing diagnostic team. Candidates should be board certified in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology (American Board of Pathology) with one or more of the following to apply: (a) board certified or eligible (by start date) in Molecular Genetic Pathology (American Board of Pathology and American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics) (b) board certified or eligible (by start date) in Hematopathology (American Board of Pathology). The available position is based within the Ochsner Health System in the greater New Orleans, LA region.

Currently, the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine consists of 38 anatomic and clinical pathologists and 2 PhD's, staffing 6 hospitals within the greater New Orleans area. This advertised position will be the department s second pathologist with molecular expertise and grow our hematopathologist specialty group to 5 individuals. This role will also have some clinical pathology coverage responsibilities. The Ochsner Health System currently processes approximately 70,000 surgical cases and 50,000 cytology cases annually. There is a vast spectrum of cases, with a wide range of complexity. The department supports busy bone marrow and solid organ transplantation programs.
