The University of Chicago: Biological Sciences Division: Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine

Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine, is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank. The successful applicant will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities including some offsite. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. We especially welcome applicants that have interest and / or advanced training in sports medicine and joint replacement surgery with a successful career in academic medicine.  Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. 

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in orthopaedic surgery, 4) have completed an ACGME-approved orthopaedic surgery residency or its equivalent, and 5) have completed an ACGME-approved fellowship or its equivalent in an area directly relevant to the specialization.
