The Dartmouth-Hitchcock lnflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Center is the largest IBD center in Northern New England. Our comprehensive IBD center includes gastroenterologists, an IBD nurse practitioner, colorectal surgeons and a surgical physician's assistant, dedicated IBD nurses, IBD research coordinators, enterostomal therapy nurses, a psychiatrist and a dietitian.  This group offers expert, efficient, patient-centered care that we are proud to bring to Northern New England.  

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth are searching for a 1 year advanced Fellow for training in inflammatory bowel diseases. Following the completion of this one-year program, the Fellow is expected to have gained competency in all aspects of inflammatory bowel diseases, including outpatient management of routine and difficult to manage Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and collaborative inpatient and outpatient management working together with the colorectal surgery team. In addition, the Fellow will be competent in the endoscopic evaluation and management of IBD including chromoendoscopy. Fellows will become deeply involved in ongoing and new IBD research projects, and will become proficient in engaging in clinical trials, outcomes research, prospective studies and quality improvement.  The Fellow will be expected to prepare and present research at national meetings and publish the results of their work. 

The advanced fellow will also be expected to work one day a week performing routine endoscopic procedures in our Endoscopy Suite. The fellow will receive an appropriate academic appointment as a member of the faculty of the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.

We are now accepting applications for July 2020. Applicants must have completed a 3-year residency in internal medicine and an ACGME-approved fellowship in Gastroenterology by June 30, 2020.
