Academic Hospitalist (3-309-1008/1009) The General Internal Medicine Division in the Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine has an opening for academic hospitalists at the University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus (UMMC MTC) located in downtown Baltimore.  These positions will provide daytime coverage on one of our inpatient internal medicine teaching.  The bulk of service will be in a teaching capacity with UMMC MTC internal medicine residents, as well as students from the University of Maryland School of Medicine assigned to this service as part of their internal medicine clerkship rotation.  These positions will also provide some non-teaching clinical coverage on a Post-Acute Unit located within the hospital. 

Ideal candidates will possess outstanding clinical and teaching skills, and a strong commitment to quality patient care.    All candidates must be board certified/eligible in internal medicine and eligible for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland.  Expected faculty rank is Assistant Professor or higher, however, rank, tenure status and salary will be dependent upon selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.  We offer an excellent salary and benefits package.
