Surgical Oncologist

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible surgical oncologist for a faculty position at the University of Michigan.  The Department of Surgery at the University of Michigan, founded in 1850, is internationally recognized for excellence in patient care and education.  Our Department works in close concert with the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center that is widely acclaimed as a leader in clinical cancer care and research.

This recruitment is directed at identifying an academic surgeon with a clinical interest in peritoneal surface and gastrointestinal malignancies.  The candidate will oversee a busy multidisciplinary hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy program.  Depending on candidate interest and qualifications, the practice may also encompass other aspects of gastrointestinal and pancreaticobiliary cancers.  Requirements include completion of a complex general surgical oncology fellowship, desire to pursue an academic career, evidence of research accomplishment, and interest in teaching residents and medical students.
