Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Emergency Medicine, is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank. The successful applicant will serve as an Emergency Physician in our new Emergency Department and Level 1 trauma center, and act as the Assistant EMS Medical Director of the Chicago EMS system and as the Associate Program Director for the ACGME-accredited EMS Fellowship Program. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

The Section of Emergency Medicine has nationally recognized research and education programs that build on collaborations throughout the University and is active in clinical operations and quality improvement in the Medical Center.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be Board certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine and board certified or eligible in EMS, and have completed an EMS fellowship.
