Marshall Orthopaedics, a university-affiliated physician group, is currently seeking qualified candidates for a hand/upper extremity position within our department. This position, with a practice location at our academic medical center in Huntington, W.Va., will provide for a practice that is primarily focused on the subspecialty of hand/upper extremity.

Marshall Orthopaedics is an academic department affiliated with the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. We support an orthopaedic residency and train 3 residents per year.

The department's hand/upper extremity division currently has two partners, Dr. Alan Koester and Dr. Steven Novotny. Due to rapidly increasing volume, we are recruiting a third hand/upper extremity surgeon to our department.

We offer an attractive, university employee-based benefits package that provides a very competitive compensation package, especially with respect to other academic medical centers. This position also offers the opportunity to be involved in resident and medical student education and orthopaedic research activities.

Applicants must have successfully completed an orthopaedic residency program and an orthopaedic hand surgery fellowship. Applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible at the time of application. Applicants must also be able to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Interested candidates may send their CV to Chad Fisher at:  Fisher47@Marshall.edu
