The institution is a comprehensive cancer center whose purposes are the treatment and control of cancer, the advancement of biomedical knowledge through laboratory and clinical research, and the training of scientists, physicians and other health care workers.

The Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Service is currently made up of 13 full time faculty members and offers a full range of consultative services along with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic interventions which are performed in a state-of-the-art endoscopy unit. The service has an advanced endoscopy fellowship training program and an ACGME-accredited gastroenterology fellowship training program.

We are recruiting a gastroenterologist with an interest and expertise in hepatology. The applicant must be ABIM-certified or eligible in Gastroenterology (or have equivalent international certification). Advanced fellowship training in hepatology is preferable but not required. This Hepatologist will be responsible for expansion of our hepatology program and will work in close collaboration with our medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, and other members of our multidisciplinary disease management teams. Academic appointment at Memorial Sloan Kettering will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements. A parallel appointment at the Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) will be proposed but a final decision will be made by WCMC and Cornell University.
