Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Division of Rheumatology is seeking faculty candidates who want to devote their careers to academic medicine. We are open to interviewing candidates of varying stages of careers and interests. We do have a particular interest in individuals with interest in doing scholarly work, certification in ultrasound and bone densitometry, or have additional training or degrees in education, quality improvement and public health/health services.

There are many teaching and research opportunities at our institution. Our 2-year fellowship program has five fellows. We run clinical trials and collaborate with scientists in other areas namely health disparities, health services, medical education, and translational science. We run a Fracture Liaison Service and a bone densitometry unit.We have ultrasound machines that allow us to engage in musculoskeletal, parotid, lung and vasculitis ultrasound at most sites. We run own clinic-based infusion center which we are currently expanding.

The Division of Rheumatology provides inpatient and outpatient services not only to the Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC), but also at federally qualified health centers associated with Riverside University Health System and the Social Action Community Health clinic of San Bernardino County. We also have an academic affiliation with the Loma Linda Veterans Affairs Hospital.

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group is affiliated with Loma Linda University Medical Center, Children s Hospital and School of Medicine. Its mission to deliver whole-person care at a world class level of?clinical excellence. The?Medical Center serves as?the largest tertiary referral?source in both Riverside and San Bernardino counties with a surrounding population approaching 4 million.

For over 100 years, Loma Linda University Health has been dedicated to excellence in health care, research, and education. A new hospital is due to open in 2020. The new towers will be state-of-the-art, allowing for the newest advances in technology and patient care. We are also greatly expanding and enhancing our already robust research enterprise through a new collaborative research center and program endowments.

Big Bear Mountain Ski resort is an hour s drive from LLU. Golf courses, shopping, and spas of Palm Springs are a 45-minute drive to the East and the world-class Mammoth Mountain resort is a 6-hour drive to the North.
